My Holiday Offering

First I want to say Happy Holidays to everyone who has supported me in my journey to continue as a PT on my own. Its been a fun and rewarding journey. After all these years I can focus on my patient care instead of meetings, productivity, co-worker drama, and hospital wide review from many entities who don't understand what real patient care is about.

I still have lots to learn but what I don't seem to want to learn is how to be a great social media influencer. I still don't know how to create beautiful content on instagram like "reels" and I really don't like my own image, be it still or moving. Its just not who I am. I see others doing it and they seem to be successful but its not in my wheel house. So, forgive me for not being able to up my tech game.

I like to talk. I was getting poor conduct remarks way back in kindergarten because I talked too much. I like to engage with my new prospective clients on the phone because I can quickly answer questions and give them all the info. Texting is ok once we begin working together but wouldn't you like to hear from the real me the first time we "meet"? And when I come to work with your child you can rest assured I'm going to interact with you both... and any grandparents or caregivers present. I won't be attending to my phone instead of you.

I am also enjoying blogging. My brother, the professional writer, says I'm not too bad at it so I've tried to continue to put my ideas out into the world in this format. Its a lot less scary than a video of me. I get to proof read all my words in hopes they convey my message clearly.

But...the thing I'm the best at is working with your child on their gross motor skills. Facilitating the right motor response. Watching the light turn on in their amazing brains when they finally GET IT. Figuring out the WHY, as in why they move the way they do. Being down on the floor with your child is what I do best. I hope as the new year comes in that I will be able to continue doing what I love. IF you have a question, I'll be happy to discuss it with you and give you an honest opinion on whether my services are needed. Happy Holidays to all and thanks for your support.

Lisa
